Frenchman Corentin Moutet advanced to the second round of the Winston-Salem Open by beating Colombian lucky loser Nicolas Mejia 7-6 (5), 6-1 at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex on Tuesday night.
Moutet, ranked No 68, will face No 17 seed Roman Safiullin next.
