Stockholm Open: Paul makes final, defeats Wawrinka in straight sets

American Tommy Paul, the No 4 seed, advanced to the final of the Stockholm Open by beating Swiss wildcard Stan Wawrinka 6-3, 6-2 at the Kungliga Tennishallen on Saturday.
Paul, ranked No 13, will face the winner of the match between Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the No 3 seed, and Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor, the No 7 seed, next.
The American won against Serb qualifier Laslo Djere (6-2, 7-6 (2)) and Serb Miomir Kecmanovic (7-6 (9), 6-2) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds of the Stockholm tournament, Wawrinka, ranked No 217, won against American Brandon Nakashima, the No 6 seed (6-4, 6-4), Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (6-4, 3-6, 7-5) and Russian Andrey Rublev, the top seed (7-6 (5), 7-6 (5)).
