Paris Masters: Fils beats Cilic to reach second round

Frenchman Arthur Fils advanced to the second round of Paris Masters by beating Croat Marin Cilic 7-6 (5), 6-4 at the Accor Arena on Tuesday.

At 20, Fils becomes the youngest Frenchman to win a main draw match at the Paris Masters since Richard Gasquet did the same in 2006.

Fils, ranked No 20 in the world, will face German Jan-Lennard Struff next.
