Felix Auger-Aliassime increased his winning streak to eight with a 7-6(4), 7-6(5) victory over Roman Safiullin on Saturday, setting a final with second-seeded Andrey Rublev at the Open 13 in Marseille on Sunday.
Rublev defeated Benjamin Bonzi 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 in Saturday’s first semi-final.
Rublev leads the pair’s head-to-head (2-1) but it was Auger-Aliassime who snatched victory in the semi-finals last week at Rotterdam, defeating the Russian 6-7(5), 6-4, 6-2 en route to his maiden ATP title.
