Japan Open: Nakashima upsets seventh seed Tiafoe in first round

American Brandon Nakashima won against No 7 seed and compatriot Frances Tiafoe 7-5, 6-3 to advance to the second round of the Japan Open on Thursday.
Nakashima, ranked No 36, will face Frenchman Ugo Humbert next at the Ariake Colosseum in Tokyo.
