Houston Open: Wolf books spot in second round
J.J. Wolf edged out Alexander Ritschard 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 on Tuesday. He’ll play the winner of the match between American Marcos Giron, the No 7 seed, and Canadian wildcard Denis Shapovalov in the next round

American J.J. Wolf edged out Swiss qualifier Alexander Ritschard 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 to move into the second round of the Houston Open at River Oaks Country Club on Tuesday.
Wolf, ranked No 96, will face the winner of the match between American Marcos Giron, the No 7 seed, and Canadian wildcard Denis Shapovalov next.
