Alcaraz qualifies for season-ending ATP Finals
The Spaniard joins world No 1 Jannik Sinner and world No 2 Alexander Zverev as qualified players for the season finale
World No 3 Carlos Alcaraz has booked his ticket in the eight-player ATP Finals in Turin, becoming the third player to qualify for the season-ending finale on the men’s tour.
Alcaraz joins world No 1 Jannik Sinner and world No 2 Alexander Zverev as confirmed qualifiers for the tournament, which will be held at Inalpi Arena in Turin from November 10 to 17.
The 21-year-old won the French Open and Wimbledon Grand Slams this year, which helped him qualify for the ATP Finals for the third year in a row. He was unable to play in the 2022 edition due to injury and reached the semi-finals in Turin in 2023.
The Spaniard, who also won the Indian Wells Masters title this year, defeated Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev in group play last year before going down to eventual champion Novak Djokovic,
