Frenchwoman Clara Burel advanced to the last eight of the Megasaray Hotels Open 1 by beating Latvian Darja Semenistaja 6-2, 6-2 on Thursday.
Burel, ranked No 148, will play the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Chloe Paquet and Slovenian qualifier Tamara Zidansek next.
The Frenchwoman won against Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz, the No 7 seed (6-1, 2-6, 6-3) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round, Semenistaja, ranked No 159, defeated Russian qualifier Elena Pridankina (6-7 (3), 6-4, 6-2).
