Indian Wells Masters: Paul eases past Norrie to book spot in last 16
Tommy Paul won against Cameron Norrie 6-3, 7-5 and will face the winner of the match between Alex Michelsen, the No 31 seed, and Daniil Medvedev next
American Tommy Paul, the No 10 seed, won against Cameron Norrie 6-3, 7-5 to move into the last 16 of the Indian Wells Masters at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
Paul, ranked No 11, will face the winner of the match between American Alex Michelsen, the No 31 seed, and Russian Daniil Medvedev, the No 5 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Indian Wells Tennis Masters, the American beat wildcard Tristan Boyer (6-3, 6-1).
Norrie, ranked No 77, defeated Italian Luca Nardi (6-0, 6-3) and edged out No 23 seed Jiri Lehecka (3-6, 6-4, 7-5) earlier in the tournament.
