Indian Wells Masters: Griekspoor’s fine run continues with upset of Mpetshi Perricard to make last 16

Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor reached the last 16 of the Indian Wells Masters by winning against Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, the No 29 seed, 7-6 (3), 6-3 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
Griekspoor, ranked No 43, will face the winner of the match between Japanese qualifier Yosuke Watanuki and American Frances Tiafoe, the No 16 seed, next.
The Dutchman beat Serb Miomir Kecmanovic (6-7 (5), 6-4, 6-3) and edged out German Alexander Zverev, the top seed (4-6, 7-6 (5), 7-6 (4)) in the previous rounds of the Indian Wells Tennis Masters.
In the previous round of the Indian Wells Tennis Masters, Mpetshi Perricard, ranked No 30, benefited from the abandonment of Hungarian Fabian Marozsan (6-4).
