Indian Wells Masters: Hurkacz moves into third round

Pole Hubert Hurkacz, the No 21 seed, won against French qualifier Hugo Gaston 7-5, 6-3 to move into the third round of the Indian Wells Masters at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Saturday.

Hurkacz, ranked No 22, will face the winner of the match between Belgian David Goffin and Australian Alex De Minaur, the No 9 seed, next.

Gaston, ranked No 93, beat Italian Luciano Darderi (6-3, 6-3) in the previous round of the Indian Wells Tennis Masters.
