Indian Wells WTA 1000: Paolini advances to third round
Jasmine Paolini won against Iva Jovic 7-6 (3), 1-6, 6-3 on Saturday evening and will face the winner of the match between Canadian Leylah Fernandez, the No 27 seed, and Romanian Jaqueline Cristian in the next round

Italian Jasmine Paolini, the No 6 seed, beat American wildcard Iva Jovic 7-6 (3), 1-6, 6-3 to reach the third round of the Indian Wells WTA 1000 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Saturday evening.
Paolini, ranked No 6, will play the winner of the match between Canadian Leylah Fernandez, the No 27 seed, and Romanian Jaqueline Cristian next.
In the previous round of the Indian Wells tournament, Jovic, ranked No 157, won against Austrian Julia Grabher (2-6, 7-5, 6-0).
