Indian Wells Masters: Rune beats Moutet, reaches third round

Dane Holger Rune, the No 12 seed, moved into the third round of the Indian Wells Masters by defeating Frenchman Corentin Moutet 6-2, 6-4 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Friday.

Rune, ranked No 13, will play Frenchman Ugo Humbert, the No 18 seed, next.

In the previous round of the Indian Wells Tennis Masters, Moutet, ranked No 79, won against Australian Jordan Thompson (6-4, 4-6, 6-3).
