Minnen gets three-set win in Austin opening round

Belgian Greet Minnen outlasted Chinese qualifier Sijia Wei 5-7, 6-3, 6-2 to move into the second round of the Austin Open at the Westwood Country Club on Tuesday evening.

Minnen, ranked No 92, awaits the winner of a match between Dutchwoman Suzan Lamens, the No 8 seed, and Russian Kamilla Rakhimova.
