Gracheva takes down Stearns in Austin first round

Frenchwoman Varvara Gracheva advanced to the second round of the Austin Open by beating American Peyton Stearns, the No 3 seed, 6-2, 6-3 at the Westwood Country Club on Tuesday evening.

Gracheva, ranked No 72, will face American Caroline Dolehide in the last 16.
