Dubai Open: Borges beats Fils to book spot in second round

Portuguese Nuno Borges advanced to the second round of the Dubai Open by defeating Frenchman Arthur Fils, the No 8 seed, 6-2, 6-1 at the Aviation Club Tennis Centre on Tuesday.

Borges, ranked No 38, will play the winner of the match between Kazakh Alexander Bublik and Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime next.
