Heide defeats fellow Brazilian Seyboth Wild in Santiago first round
Gustavo Heide dismissed fellow Brazilian Thiago Seyboth Wild in straight sets on Monday in Santiago. Heide will face Luciano Darderi or Jaime Faria in the second round.
In an all-Brazilian battle in round one of the Chile Open, qualifier Gustavo Heide knocked off Thiago Seyboth Wild 7-5, 6-2 at the Club Universidad Católica de San Carlos de Apoquindo in Santiago de Chile on Monday night.
Heide, ranked No 160, awaits the winner of a match between Portuguese Jaime Faria and Italian Luciano Darderi, the No 8 seed.
