Rio Open: Dzumhur defeats Lajovic in first round

Damir Dzumhur advanced to the second round of the Rio Open by defeating Serb Dusan Lajovic 6-3, 6-4 at the Jockey Club Brasileiro in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday evening.

The Bosnian did not get broken a single time over the course of one hour and 29 minutes.

Dzumhur, ranked No 97, will next play the winner of a match between seventh-seeded Spaniard Pedro Martinez and Argentine lucky loser Camilo Ugo Carabelli.
