ATP Delray Beach: Opelka beats Eubanks to reach second round

American wildcard Reilly Opelka reached the second round of the Delray Beach Open by winning against countryman Christopher Eubanks 6-3, 7-6 (7) on Tuesday.

Opelka was forced to save a setpoint in the second set before going on to win in straight sets.

Now ranked No 121 and on the comeback trail after a couple of difficult years due to injuries, he will face another American Brandon Nakashima, the No 6 seed, next at the Delray Beach Stadium and Tennis Center.
