Anisimova moves past Azaranka in Doha makes second round
Amanda Anisimova won against Victoria Azarenka 6-3, 7-5 on Sunday evening and will face the winner of the match between Spaniard Paula Badosa, the No 9 seed, and Katerina Siniakova in the next round
American Amanda Anisimova defeated Belarusian Victoria Azarenka 6-3, 7-5 to reach the second round of the Qatar Open at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha on Sunday evening.
Anisimova, ranked No 40, will face the winner of the match between Spaniard Paula Badosa, the No 9 seed, and Katerina Siniakova next.
