Former Wimbledon champion Kvitova announces return to WTA Tour

The two-time former Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova is to return to the WTA Tour. after a 15-month break during which she became a mother.
The 34-year-old, who last played in October 2023 and who gave birth to her first child, son Petr, in July 2024, announced the news on her Instagram feed.
The Czech will make her comeback in Austin this month and intends to play Indian Wells and Miami, she says.
Kvitova won Wimbledon in 2011 and 2014, reached a career-high No 2 in the world and has won 31 titles worldwide.
