Thai Mananchaya Sawangkaew, the No 8 seed, advanced to the last 16 of the L & T Mumbai Open by winning against Slovenian Dalila Jakupovic 6-3, 6-1 on Monday night.
Sawangkaew, ranked No 121, will face the winner of the match between Linda Fruhvirtova and Liechtensteiner Kathinka von Deichmann next.
