No 5 seed Tallon Griekspoor reached the second round of the Montpellier Open by defeating Botic Van De Zandschulp 7-5, 6-3 at the Sud de France Arena.

Griekspoor, ranked No 46, will play the winner of the match between Adrian Mannarino and Richard Gasquet next.
