Australian Open: Kasatkina powers past Tomova into second round
Daria Kasatkina defeated Viktoriya Tomova 6-1, 6-3 on Tuesday. She’ll face the winner of the match between Hungarian Anna Bondar and Chinese Yafan Wang in the next round

Russian Daria Kasatkina, the No 9 seed, reached the second round of the Australian Open by beating Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova 6-1, 6-3 at Melbourne Park on Tuesday.
Kasatkina, ranked No 10, will play the winner of the match between Hungarian Anna Bondar and Chinese Yafan Wang next.
