WTA Adelaide: Krueger upsets Badosa to reach last eight
Krueger will meet fellow American Jessica Pegula, the top seed, in the next round

American lucky loser Ashlyn Krueger defeated Spaniard Paula Badosa, the No 5 seed, 7-6 (4), 6-7 (4), 6-2 to reach the quarter-finals of the Adelaide International on Wednesday.
Krueger, ranked No 54, will face American Jessica Pegula, the top seed, next at the Memorial Drive Tennis Park.
In the previous round of the tournament, the 20-year-old American won against Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk (4-6, 6-2, 6-2).
Badosa, ranked No 12, edged out American qualifier Peyton Stearns (6-7 (5), 6-3, 7-5) in the opening round.
