Adelaide Open: Kokkinakis makes second round

Australian wildcard Thanasi Kokkinakis defeated Japanese Yoshihito Nishioka 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 to reach the second round of the Adelaide Open at the Memorial Drive Tennis Centre on Monday.

Kokkinakis, ranked No 77, will face the winner of the match between Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry, the No 8 seed, and Australian wildcard Tristan Schoolkate next.
