Djokovic, Kyrgios to team up for doubles at Brisbane International 2025
Nick Kyrgios announced on social media that he will form a doubles team with 24-time Grand Slam champion at the ATP 250 event in Brisbane
In a surprising announcement, Nick Kyrgios has declared to team up with Novak Djokovic for doubles duty at the 2025 Brisbane International.
Kyrgios, who will return to competitive tennis in Brisbane for the first time after June 2023, took to Instagram on Monday and posted his photograph with Djokovic from the 2022 Wimbledon final.
“Doubles at Brisbane. See y’all there,” the Aussie wrote.
Both players will also compete for the singles title at the ATP 250 event scheduled to run from December 29, 2024, to January 5, 2025, and are likely to meet in the draw.
They have played against each other thrice on the tour thus far, with Kyrgios leading the head-to-head 2-1. Djokovic’s solitary win notably against the Aussie came in the 2022 Wimbledon final (4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 (3)).
