Former world No 3 Grigor Dimitrov has been voted by his peers as the winner of the 2024 Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award.

The award, part of the annual ATP awards, is given to a player for their fair play, professionalism and integrity on and off the court. This is the Bulgarian’s first win in this category.

“I’m just very grateful, very thankful to all my fans, to all my colleagues, to everyone that has been such a support throughout all this time. I feel very fortunate,” Dimitrov said as quoted by the ATP Tour. “Thank you all for this amazing appreciation, and I’ll make sure to keep on going and to keep on striving to be the best.”

Dimitrov ended the 2024 season at No 10 in the world rankings. This is the first time that he finished the season in the top 10 since 2017.
