Swiss qualifier Ylena In-Albon moved into the final of the MundoTenis Open by winning against Argentinian Maria Lourdes Carle, the top seed, 3-6, 7-6 (9), 6-2 on Sunday afternoon.
In-Albon, ranked No 342, will face Pole Maja Chwalinska, the No 7 seed, next.
Earlier in the tournament, the Swiss defeated Hungarian Panna Udvardy, the No 6 seed (6-4, 6-1), Belarusian Iryna Shymanovich (7-5, 7-5) and Italian Nicole Fossa Huergo (6-3, 6-1).
Carle, ranked No 89, beat Russian qualifier Mariia Tkacheva (6-1, 6-0), Frenchwoman Kristina Mladenovic (4-6, 6-2, 6-1) and Pole Katarzyna Kawa (6-4, 6-1) in the previous rounds.
