The main draw entry lists for the 2025 Australian Open have been released with all the top 50 ranked men and women signed up to play the first Grand Slam of the new season.

The top 104 players, including those using their protected rankings get a direct entry into the main draw, with eight spots reserved for wildcards and 16 for qualifiers.

World No 1 and defending champion Jannik Sinner leads the entry list for the men, which also includes 10-time champion Novak Djokovic. Women’s world No 1 Aryna Sabalenka, who will be gunning for her third consecutive title at Melbourne Park, leads the women’s entry list which also features world No 2 Iga Swiatek, American Coco Gauff, Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova and former Slam winners Elena Rybakina, Noami Osaka and Emma Raducanu among others.

Sis players have used their protected ranking (PR) on both the men’s and women’s side, which means the entry cut-off is No 98 for both the draws. Those using their PR include former Wimbledon runner-up and local favourite Nick Kyrgios, former US Open runner-up Kei Nishikori and Tokyo Olympics gold medalist Belinda Bencic.

Two players who have already secured wildcards are China’s Zhang Shuai and Thailand’s Kasidit Samrej, who won AO Asia-Pacific Wildcard Play-off.

The Australian Open main draw action starts on January 12, with the qualifying draw beginning a week earlier.
