Andorran Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva won against Frenchwoman Elsa Jacquemot 6-3, 7-6 (4) to reach the quarter-finals of the Open In Arte Angers Loire on Thursday afternoon.
Jimenez Kasintseva, ranked No 159, will play American Alycia Parks, the No 3 seed, next.
The 19-year-old Andorran beat French wildcard Sara Cakarevic (6-1, 6-7 (5), 6-1) in the previous round.
In the 32, Jacquemot, ranked No 146, edged out lucky loser Yasmine Mansouri (6-3, 4-6, 7-5).
