World No 2 Iga Swiatek has hired a new Public Relations (PR) Manager. The Pole will now work with Daria Sulgostowska, who comes in to replace Paula Wolecka.

“Almost 4 years of cooperation with Iga was an unforgettable adventure for someone who is passionate about sport, and at the same time a completely unique professional challenge. I will have particularly fond memories of all the charity and social projects that made this joint work bring about a positive change in the world. I wish Iga and the whole team good luck in their further development, and I am creating a place in my professional life for something new, outside the PR industry,” Wolecka said in a statement.

“Joining the team of Iga Swiatek, a person who sets sports and social standards, is an incredible distinction. As a person who has always been passionate about sport, especially tennis, as well as professionally involved in communication, I appreciate and respect the image work done by the entire team so far. I treat being part of it as an expression of trust, for which I am very grateful. I was very happy to take on this new challenge, with the goal of further developing not only Iga’s unique personal brand, but also promoting the values that accompany and represent it,” Sulgostowska said.

Sulgostowska also has tennis connections. She is a tennis coach, a member of the board of the Polish Tennis Association and a member of the Gender Equality Tennis Europe Committee.

This is the second major change in Swiatek’s team, who also hired a new coach in Wim Fissette in mid-October.
