Frenchwoman Kristina Mladenovic advanced to the last 16 of the MundoTenis Open by winning against Colombian Emiliana Arango 7-6 (5), 6-7 (6), 6-1 on Monday evening.
Mladenovic, ranked No 213, will play the winner of the match between Argentinian Maria Lourdes Carle, the top seed, and Russian qualifier Mariia Tkacheva next.
