Italy to remain home to ATP Finals till 2030
The season-ending championship will continue to enchant Italian fans till the decade-end, but the location for the tournament after 2025 remains a mystery
The ATP and Italian Tennis and Padel Federation (FITP) have extended their understanding on hosting rights of the ATP Finals by five years. The season-ending championship came to Turin from London for the 2021-25 period, to begin with, but the celebrated event will continue to enchant Italian fans till 2030, as per the men’s tennis body’s latest announcement.
The 2024 ATP Finals concluded on Sunday (November 17) in Turin’s Inalpi Arena with the crowning of local hero and world No 1 Jannik Sinner, who overcame Taylor Fritz from the US (6-4, 6-4) in the title clash.
While Sinner and Fritz battled for glory in Turin, the ATP and FITP finalised Italy as the home to the season-ending finale through 2030.
“Tennis has a special place in the history and culture of this country,” FITP president Angelo Binaghi told the ATP Tour. “The Nitto ATP Finals are treasured by Italian fans, and this connection is now stronger than ever with Jannik Sinner as the world No1. We look ahead with excitement, confident in the knowledge that this event will continue to grow even stronger in the years ahead.”
As per the initial agreement, the ATP Finals will return to Turin next year but no city has yet been picked as host for years after 2025.
