Metz Open: Bergs advances to quarter-finals

Belgian Zizou Bergs reached the quarter-finals of the Metz Open by winning against Frenchman Hugo Gaston 6-4, 7-5 at the Arènes de Metz on Wednesday.
Bergs, ranked No 61, will face the winner of the match between French lucky loser Luca Van Assche and Cameron Norrie next.
The Belgian defeated French lucky loser Manuel Guinard (6-4, 6-4) ahead of his victory.
In the previous round of the Metz tournament, Gaston, ranked No 81, won against lucky loser Titouan Droguet (7-6 (6), 4-6, 6-3).
