Metz Open: Michelsen reaches second round
Alex Michelsen won against Harold Mayot 6-3, 6-1 on Sunday. He’ll play the winner of the match between French wildcard Richard Gasquet and Brazilian Thiago Monteiro in the next round

American Alex Michelsen, the No 8 seed, won against French wildcard Harold Mayot 6-3, 6-1 to reach the second round of the Metz Open at the Arènes de Metz on Sunday.
Michelsen, ranked No 44, will play the winner of the match between French wildcard Richard Gasquet and Brazilian Thiago Monteiro next.
