Paris Masters: Michelsen upsets 12th seed Hurkacz to end Pole’s Turin hopes

American Alex Michelsen advanced to the second round of Paris Masters by winning against Pole Hubert Hurkacz, the No 12 seed, 6-1, 6-3 at the Accor Arena on Tuesday.

With the loss, Hurkacz is out of contention for one of the remaining berths for the ATP Finals in Turin.

Michelsen, ranked No 44, will face French wildcard Arthur Rinderknech next.
