Vienna Open: Khachanov fights back to beat Nakashima and reach last eight

Karen Khachanov edged out Brandon Nakashima 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 on Thursday evening and will play Italian Matteo Berrettini in the next round

Russian Karen Khachanov moved into the last eight of the Vienna Open by edging out American Brandon Nakashima 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 at the Wiener Stadthalle.

Khachanov, ranked No 24, will play Italian Matteo Berrettini next.

The Russian defeated Brazilian qualifier Thiago Seyboth Wild (6-2, 6-4) ahead of his victory.

In the previous round of the Vienna tournament, Nakashima, ranked No 38, won against No 4 seed Tommy Paul (6-4, 6-4).
