Tokyo: Tauson moves into second round to face Kenin

Danish lucky loser Clara Tauson won against Japanese wildcard Nao Hibino 6-2, 6-3 to reach the second round of the WTA Toray Pan Pacific Open at the Ariake Coliseum on Tuesday.

Tauson is coming off a quarter-final run in Osaka and a runner-up finish at the WTA125 Hong Kong Open.

Tauson, ranked No 53, will face American wildcard Sofia Kenin next.
