Guangzhou Open: Bronzetti upsets fourth seed Avanesyan in first round
The Italian will play Romanian Jaqueline Cristian in the second round

Italian Lucia Bronzetti reached the second round of the Guangzhou Open by winning against Armenian Elina Avanesyan, the No 4 seed, 6-1, 6-4 at the Nansha International Tennis Center on Tuesday.
Bronzetti, ranked No 84, will face Romanian Jaqueline Cristian next.
