Swiss Indoors: Mpetshi Perricard moves into second round

Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard reached the second round of the Swiss Indoors by defeating Australian qualifier James Duckworth 7-6 (4), 6-3 at the St. Jakobshalle in Basel on Monday.

Mpetshi Perricard, ranked No 50, will play the winner of the match between Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, the No 8 seed, and Argentinian Sebastian Baez next.
