Osaka Open: Parry into semi-finals

Frenchwoman Diane Parry, the No 7 seed, reached the semi-finals of the Osaka Open by defeating Dane Clara Tauson 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 at the Utsubo Tennis Center on Friday.
Parry, ranked No 52, will face Dutch qualifier Suzan Lamens next.
The 22-year-old Frenchman won against Russian Erika Andreeva (4-6, 7-6 (4), 6-1) and Belgian Greet Minnen (6-4, 6-2) ahead of her victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Tauson, ranked No 63, won against American Katie Volynets (6-1, 6-4) and Harriet Dart (6-3, 6-2).
