Almaty Open: Vukic into second round to face Mannarino

Aleksandar Vukic reached the second round of the Almaty Open by winning against James Duckworth 6-4, 7-5 at Almaty Arena on Wednesday.

This was Vukic’s second win in three professional clashes against Duckworth.

Vukic, ranked No 85, will face Frenchman Adrian Mannarino, the No 8 seed, next. The Frenchman leads their overall head-to-head on the pro circuit by 2-1 but Vukic won their most recent encounter; in the first round of the Winston-Salem Open this year in three sets.
