European Open: Etcheverry shuts down Gasquet
Tomas Martin Etcheverry defeated Richard Gasquet 7-6 (4), 6-4 on Monday and will face the winner of the match between Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut and French qualifier Luca Van Assche in the next round

Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry, the No 6 seed, advanced to the second round of the European Open by defeating French wildcard Richard Gasquet 7-6 (4), 6-4 at the Lotto Arena in Antwerp on Monday.
Etcheverry, ranked No 35, will play the winner of the match between Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut and French qualifier Luca Van Assche next.
