Shanghai Masters: Machac through to last 16

No 30 seed Tomas Machac moved into the last 16 of the Shanghai Masters by defeating Australian qualifier Aleksandar Vukic 6-4, 6-2 at the Qi Zhong Tennis Center on Tuesday.
Machac, ranked No 33, will play American Tommy Paul, the No 11 seed, next.
Ahead of his victory, Tomas Machac edged out Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (1-6, 7-6 (3), 6-4).
Vukic, ranked No 91, edged out Frenchman Corentin Moutet (2-6, 6-3, 6-4) and won against Norwegian Casper Ruud, the No 8 seed (6-4, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
