Dane Clara Tauson, the No 6 seed, won against Frenchwoman Varvara Gracheva, the No 4 seed, 6-4, 6-3 to reach the final of the Hong Kong 125 Open on Saturday night.
Tauson, ranked No 72, will play the winner of the match between Russian Anna Blinkova, the No 7 seed, and Australian Ajla Tomljanovic next.
The 21-year-old Dane beat Italian Martina Trevisan (6-3, 7-5), American qualifier Varvara Lepchenko (2-6, 6-3, 6-4) and Japanese Nao Hibino (6-1, 6-1) in the previous rounds.
Earlier in the tournament, Gracheva, ranked No 62, won against Chinese qualifier YeXin Ma (0-6, 6-1, 6-2), American Hailey Baptiste (6-3, 6-3) and Dutchwoman Suzan Lamens (4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4).
