Shanghai Masters: Etcheverry edges past Van de Zandschulp to make third round
Tomas Martin Etcheverry edged out Botic van de Zandschulp 7-6 (5), 3-6, 7-5. He’ll face either Jannik Sinner or Taro Daniel in the next round

Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry, the No 31 seed, edged out Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp 7-6 (5), 3-6, 7-5 to advance to the third round of the Shanghai Masters at the Qi Zhong Tennis Center.
Etcheverry, ranked No 37, will play the winner of the match between Italian Jannik Sinner, the top seed, and Japanese Taro Daniel next.
In the previous round of the Shanghai tournament, Van De Zandschulp, ranked No 67, won against Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta (7-6 (5), 6-2).
