China Open: Cobolli reaches quarter-finals
Flavio Cobolli defeated Pavel Kotov 6-4, 6-2 on Saturday

Italian Flavio Cobolli advanced to the last eight of the China Open by winning against Russian qualifier Pavel Kotov 6-4, 6-2 at the Olympic Green Tennis Center in Beijing on Saturday.
Cobolli, ranked No 32, will play the winner of the match between Frenchman Adrian Mannarino and Russian Daniil Medvedev, the No 3 seed, next.
Ahead of his victory, the 22-year-old Italian edged out Kazakh Alexander Bublik, the No 8 seed (4-6, 6-1, 7-6 (4)).
Kotov, ranked No 63, edged out Chinese wildcard Yi Zhou (1-6, 6-3, 7-5) in the previous round of the Beijing tournament.
