China Open: Gauff reaches third round
Coco Gauff won against Clara Burel 7-5, 6-3 on Friday and will play No 26 seed Katie Boulter in the next round

American Coco Gauff, the No 4 seed, moved into the third round of the China Open by beating Frenchwoman Clara Burel 7-5, 6-3 at the National Tennis Center in Beijing on Friday.
With that win, Gauff becomes the player with the joint-most WTA-1000 hard court wins before turning 21 years old since the format was introduced in 2009 (46, equalling Caroline Wozniacki).
Gauff, ranked No 6, will face No 26 seed Katie Boulter next.
Burel, ranked No 56, won against German lucky loser Tamara Korpatsch (6-3, 5-7, 6-3) in the previous round of the Beijing tournament.
