China Open: Boulter advances to third round
The Brit beat Taylor Townsend in straight sets on Friday

No 26 seed Katie Boulter reached the third round of the China Open by winning against American Taylor Townsend 6-4, 6-4 at the National Tennis Center in Beijing on Friday.
Boulter, ranked No 34, will play the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Clara Burel and American Coco Gauff, the No 4 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Beijing tournament, Townsend, ranked No 52, defeated Italian Martina Trevisan (6-2, 4-6, 6-3).
